This is the first question that might be posed to Open Catechesis - Why do we need it? From the Formal Proposal we can get an idea of it's aims on a grand scale but why individually do we need this service? The short answer is that nowone knows everything and it is difficult to have expert guidance available just when we need it, and even if we do have access to them do we understand their answer? Open Catechesis strives to give you the facts when you want them and how you want them as well as providing ongoing personal Faith Guidance. If you are wondering what is the Roman Catholic current view on Homosexuality? Why the Jewish Passover is so-called? Do I still do a double genuflection before the exposed sacrament? What are the current views on the authorship of the Bible? What does a Muslim believe? and any number of other questions and you want a truthful answer that not only gives you the facts but tells you why and relates it to the wider church hoping to guide you into deepening your faith then you need OC. Give it a try - the only risks are that you may have to ask further questions.
